Un/Date
Social awareness campaign
According to National Environment Agency (NEA), in 2016, 791,000 tonnes of food waste was generated in Singapore. Only 14% of this waste is recycled. Singapore
is greatly affected by this situation as there is only one landfill, Semakau landfill, left. While NEA has put efforts working with corporates and organisations to reduce food wastage, household food waste was overlooked and that is alarming. Singaporeans are the main culprits in food wasting, especially at home, as they
are used to disposing expired food in their households that they tend to
forgotten about.
Un/Date is a collaborative campaign between FairPrice and OCBC to reduce the household food wastage in Singapore. Un/Date spans over three phases, Know it, Understand it and Share it.

This is a school project, collaborated with Jill, Keren, Felicia and Melissa.

To kickstart the campaign, Know it addresses the impending issue and introduce the campaign to the audiences through newspaper articles in
The Straits Times. Understand it shows the mobile application and its usage, which raises awareness of the campaign and encouraging purchases and consumption of soon-to-be expiring products before it expires. Share it shares Miss Tam Chiak, a renowned food blogger, experiences with the application
and purchases from FairPrice outlets.

All phases are assessable on Un/Date’s official website, allowing audiences
to keep up with the campaign.
